Description is given to the deposits of lithophylic rare elements: Ta, Nb, Zr, Li, Rb, Cs, Be, TR. Provinces showing these deposits are commonly of different age, polygenetic, occur on platforms, coincide with the provinces of magmatic rocks which are mother material for ores, bearing these elements and in some cases these provinces occur within other ore provinces. The rare-metal provinces on platforms are confined to negative structures of the earth's crust: Precambrian greenstone belts, geosyncline troughs, Phanerozoic graben-synclines' active zones; present continental rifts and to the regional ruptures as extending these structures. Paleorift systems being geologically inherited account for different age and poligenesis of rare-metal provinces. In the course of time the number and scale of genetically different deposits varied. Each rare element shows change of genetic type of the it containing deposits through the time.
